A colleague was asking me whom to follow on Twitter in their field. Providing an answer took more Googling than it should have. It occurred to me, why is there no comprehensive list of Canadian journalists on Twitter? At least, none that I could find.

Oh sure there was this one http://mediaontwitter.pbworks.com/Canada+-+Media+On+Twitter, and this one http://www.scribd.com/doc/9652010/Twittering-Journalists, and this one too http://politwitter.ca/page/canadian-politics-twitters/tags/journalist, but they all seem a bit thin.

So I aggregated them into this list as a starter – http://tweepml.org/Canadian-Journalists-on-Twitter/ – at the moment it has 93 people listed.

I’ll try to build on it by pushing it out to the various journalism associations, but I’m really relying on YOU to use the little links to the right of the list to help me expand and clean it up. The crowd is mighty if it gets off its tuckus and adds a few entries here and there.

As PR practitioners and communicators, we can all benefit. Journalists might like to know which of their pals are on too.

Please note that this is a list of HUMANS not newsroom feeds. I’ll do a second list to cover outlets/papers/stations if anyone likes this list.
