Socially Speaking: Staving off feelings of isolation on your team with instant messaging
In this week’s episode of Socially Speaking, Doug, Heather, and Scott talk about the feelings of isolation that can crop up when you have a team working remotely and how to stave them off with instant messaging.
At Communicatto, we’re big fans of Slack. You might not think of an instant messaging platform as a critical organizational tool. But we’ve found Slack to be invaluable over the past few weeks.
From our use of automated tools to our recreation of hallway chatter to our prodigious use of gifs — Slack has become even more a part of our day-to-day operations than it was before.
As you can see, the debate over gif with a hard “G” versus a soft “J” rages on!
This episode is Part One of a three-part series we’re doing on tools you can use to address feelings of isolation on your team. As Heather notes, our next episode will look at video meetings.
